Urban Roast is a popular restaurant brand based in the city center of Washington, D.C. I joined the team as a Social Media Manager, and my role quickly expanded to overseeing all digital marketing efforts. I collaborated closely with the executive team to develop a multi-channel digital marketing strategy, which included content management, website optimization, and expanding the brand’s online presence.
I led a complete website redesign, integrating Popmenu Restaurant technology, which boosted website traffic by 300% in the first week of launch. I also played a key role in increasing Urban Roast’s social media presence, growing Instagram from 900 to 15.8K followers in one year. Additionally, I managed email and push notification campaigns, designed digital and print assets, and optimized customer engagement strategies across platforms.
In addition to my digital marketing efforts, I acted as the primary point of contact for local food bloggers, influencers, and publishing companies such as DC Eater, DC Spot, and the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington. I developed and maintained relationships with these local PR contacts to secure media coverage and enhance brand visibility.
